The Honda Civic

The Honda Civic has been one of the more popular models from Honda over the past couple of decades, so much that you still see the original version on the roadway. Because some of the original models of the Honda Civic are still being driven today it is a testament to the car's longevity and safety. Honda Civics were rated as one of the most difficult vehicles to break in to. They are also among the top rated vehicles in crash test safety.

The Civic has had quite a few different body design changes over the past handful of years and 2008 was another one. Honda went from a longer, boxed-out look to a more compact, rounded look in 2008. Honda also debuted some new, sleeker looking colors in 2008 as well. The 2008 version of the Honda Civic became a wildly popular one as soon as it was released in 2007. The cars populate the roadway so frequently that they are very noticeable when driving. The 2008 Honda Civic is one of the more popular Honda models and a new body design was released for 2009.

The 2009 version will have a totally new look to the exterior and interior. The newest version has a very futuristic feel and should be as popular as the 2008 model. Every piece of the interior is rounded off; the seats, the dashboard and the center console. That seems to be the latest trend for vehicles being manufactured in the late 2000's. The 2009 Honda Civic doesn't bring a whole lot of changes from the 2008 version of the vehicle. The only highly noticeable change from 2008 to 2009 is of course the interior design and the blatant redesign of the exterior.

The Honda Civic is offered in a 4-door sedan or a 2-door coupe. Honda also offers the Civic in a gas/electric Hybrid sedan model. Both the 2008 and 2009 models offer a 5-speed automatic or 5-speed manual transmission. The Honda Civic offers safety features that make it one of the safest cars on the market today. Traction control, ABS as well as driver, passenger and side airbags are only some of the features.

The Honda Civic, whichever model, has a smooth, quiet ride and gets impressive gas mileage. The Civic gets an average of 32 miles per gallon on the highway. Some models come with a sunroof and some come XM ready. All the customer needs to do is have the antenna installed, purchase an account with XM and then activating the account.
