The new Cadillac STS is designed to replace the DTS model from the Cadillac group. The vehicle with its modern platform, V6 powered engine could turn out to be the most agile and thriftiest model ever produced.

The STS model will be the first big caddy that will won't make use of the V8 engine. The model will share the General Motor's Zeta platform with rear wheel drive arrangement. The safety features in the vehicle include the curtain side airbags and front side airbags as standard in all the models. Other safety features that are likely to be included in the vehicle are the traction control system and the ant-skid system. The active steering system that is used for turning the front wheels automatically into a skid to restore control, is provided as an optional feature.
